EPISTLES SUNDAYS & FEASTS

The Epistles are written by Paul in ancient Greek. However, if Paul would be writing them in demotic words, what sentences would he be using? Nobody knows!
Τhus, the essence is to accurately convey the spirit and meaning of Paul. We tried to do this in this book, by translating in demotic the above Epistles, extracting the appropriate messages.
In this book some innovations related to the translation and the interpretation of the Epistles are presented, that have been "discovered" by St. Nicodemous the Hagiorite, a profound scholar of the Scriptures and our guide in the writing of this book.
It is also a brief presentation of the Church history of the first century. May it be  useful for all Christians, laymen and clergy. We wish it with all our hearts. Amen.

   Α Sample. Christmas's Epistle

Ga. 4:4-7

"When, therefore, the time had come, God sent His Son; He was born of a woman; He  submitted to the (Mosaic) law; 5 to redeem those under the law, for us to receive the adoption again. 6 Because you are His children, He sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, which cries, “Abba, Father!” 7 Therefore, you are no longer a slave, but His child, and as His child you are also His heir through Christ"

(...) The law considered those cursed who were not obeying the law. No one obeyed all the rules of the law! Thus everyone was cursed! And Christ to redeem us from the law, was crucified, became a curse for our sake ( Ga. 3:13)  because whoever was crucified was considered cursed. Thus, Christ by his blood he “expiated” us; he bought us from the curse of the law. “You redeemed us from the curse of the law, with Your precious Blood”, we proclaim in the Church.“He wiped out the manuscript with the  regulations against us” (Col. 2:14)

What was this signed manuscript? It was the agreement that God made with the Jews, through Moses. They promised him that “we will keep everything that God  said” (Ex. 19:8), but they didn't keep them, and so they  were in debt.

There was also the agreement that God made with our forefathers Adam and Eve, “that on whatsoever day you eat of the fruit, you will die.” And this “agreement” was held by the devil’s hands. Christ snatched it from his hands, and did not just erase our commitments, but he wiped out the “agreement”. “Wanting to give the favor of the ancient debts, the releaser of the debts of men, came in person to those who departed from his own grace, and having torn up the manuscript”. And so we regained the adoption that we had lost with the sin of Adam, this means “so that we may reap the adoption” As genuine children of God, we are automatically heirs of  His Kingdom through Christ.
Because we became children of God again, God the Father sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, who cries, “Abba, Father”. “The name Abba (“daddy” in Greek) is the name genuine children; and Christ, praying in Gethsemane, as the natural Son of God, called God the Father “Abba the Father”. And we Christians, as sons of God by grace, cry in our hearts “Abba, Father”.    (....).
